Estate Planning and Trust Practice
Mr. Dano has been in the active practice of law for nearly 40 years, initially engaging in general practice in Ellensburg, Washington, with emphasis on criminal law, real estate and business matters. Since 1982, Mr. Dano's practice has eliminated litigation and concentrated in the areas of estate and trust planning and administration, real property transactions, business entity creation and management, and family business succession planning. Included in the practice area are giving advice and counsel and preparation of estate planning documents, including Wills, Powers of Attorney, Community Property Agreements, trusts and pre- and postnuptial Agreements; documents necessary for the creation and management of limited liability companies and corporations; and documents involved in all manner of real property and commercial transactions. Also included are advice, planning and assistance with probate and trust administration.
Programs
Mr. Dano has and continues to give lectures and seminars in the area of estate planning in the central area of the state of Washington, which has included presentations in Spokane, Wenatchee, Chelan, Othello, Moses Lake, Ephrata, Soap Lake, Royal City, Quincy and Ellensburg to groups that include Ag Expo-Farm Forum, Practice Management Network, Estate and Federal Employees Pre-Retirement Planning Conferences, Association of Professional Mortgage Women, Mothers of Preschool Children, service clubs, AARP, Peoples Law School, Edward Jones, LeMaster Daniels, PLLC and private businesses. In addition, Mr. Dano has been an instructor at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake teaching a course in real estate law to broker candidates.
